Halton Borough Council’s Brindley Theatre in Runcorn invites you to ‘Swing Those Jingle Bells’ when the Five Star Swing Big Band presents its ‘The Big Band at Christmas’ at the award winning venue on Monday 18 December.
The Five Star Swing Big Band has featured at London’s Leicester Square Theatre and on BBC ‘Children in Need’.
They will be swinging along with all your favourite Christmas songs given the dynamic Big Band treatment, from Glenn Miller, Sinatra, Basie, Nat King Cole – jazzing up those Jingle Bells! Sheila Tracy, from BBC TV said of the band “Superb “They swing like crazy!”
Drummer John Settle who tours with the band says “I’m excited to be bringing the big band version of all these classic Christmas songs back to my home town”.
Also featured is Simone from the Ivy Benson Orchestra, and Chris Smith (Jnr) composer and arranger for the BBC Radio Big Band, Herb Miller Big Band (Glenn’s brother).
