A best-selling writer is coming to Widnes Library next week and you can ‘book’ a place at the event. Sarah Ward will talk about her books at 7pm on Thursday 25 January

Sarah Ward wrote the critically acclaimed In Bitter Chill and A Deadly Thaw. Sarah also reviews crime fiction and is a judge for The Petrona Award for the best Scandinavian crime novel.
She will talk about the popularity of crime novels, what attracts us to the darkest deeds, and her own books which are set in the Derbyshire Peak District including the deadly fire which inspired her latest novel, A Patient Fury.
