Runcorn’s railways

Following on from their fascinating talk about Runcorn’s architecture in March, Runcorn Historical Society will be returning to Halton Lea library.
This time their talk will be covering the history of Runcorn’s railways, the impact they had on the town, the building of the Railway bridge, industrial railways, such as ICI, the docks & the Manchester Ship Canal and the decline of some of the lines. There will also be photographs on display that many people won’t have seen before.

Learn about the many ways people have crossed the Mersey in history with this fascinating talk by local history enthusiast Bob Roach.
