As part of the multi-agency ‘Street A Week’ initiative Halton Borough Council and Cheshire Police are holding an ‘Action Day for Farnworth residents on the weekend on Saturday 8 July and Sunday 9 July.

The action days take place between 10am and 3pm in Grosvenor Road (on the green) off Lunts Heath Road where ward councillors, police officers and police community support officers will be there to answer questions.

PCSO Caroline Griffiths, of Cheshire Police, said: “There will also be highly visible patrols, crime prevention information and door-to-door anti-social behaviour surveys.”

Halton Borough Council’s Executive Board Member for Community Safety, Cllr Dave Cargill, said: “I would encourage anyone who lives in the ward to go along and have a chat to the ward councillors and police officers and PCSOs.”

Cheshire Police will also be carrying out speed enforcement and dealing with parking issues on the way.

The ‘Street A Week’ initiative is taking place all over Cheshire this year to enhance community engagement and maximise intelligence.
