It’s the last chance to catch our panto as this year’s record-breaking Brindley pantomime Cinderella, starring Sonia at Fairy Superior and Rebecca Lake ends its run on Sunday.
It’s not too late to give your family a brilliant Christmas treat as Cinderella runs until 15 January with two shows a day, most days.
Many people have been posting lovely comments on the Brindley Theatre Facebook giving their opinion, such as “….Just returned from seeing this years panto (Cinderella). Our whole family have been every year for the last 4 years now and it just gets better and better!
“With current songs, and lots of audience interaction there was 22 of us this year and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed it. The fairy godmother and Sonia as mother supreme were outstanding with some very funny bits, and buttons and the ugly sisters had us in stitches! Can’t wait for next years”
While another said: “Went to see Cinderella yesterday afternoon. What a fantastic show!

Our panto has two four legged stars this year. The two ponies are set to be the ‘mane’ attraction in Cinderella at The Brindley when they pull the magic coach. White Shetlands – Polly and Sunny – are owned by Ian Luckens who has been supplying panto ponies for more than 20 years.
They join Desperate Scousewife Charlie Griffiths, local theatre star, Andrew Curphey, Romford’s Rikki Stone, a veteran of numerous pantos all over the country and dame Connor Harper, who comes to Runcorn from London, to make his panto debut.
He plays alongside Peter Kosta, who will play the other ugly sister. For several years he was the official life-size Roland Rat, and the Channel Tunnel mascot Marcus Mole. He has worked with Andrew Lloyd Webber, Roy Hudd and Bernard Breslaw.
Prince Charming is played by actor/model Christopher Pym, originally from Warrington, but working in London after hitting national fame after BBC1’s search for a Joseph, Any Dream Will Do.

Last year’s Aladdin was The Brindley’s most successful ever pantomine, with almost 15,500 people going to see the spectacular production, which starred Dean Gaffney and a host of local and national stars.
