Hugely popular and always original Liverpool band, Space, appear at the Halton Stadium on Saturday 9 June.
The gig follows recent successful live music events at the venue, featuring Noasis and the Madchester themed ‘Mancholiday’.
Space have sold more than five million records worldwide including ten top 40 singles such as Neighbourhood, Female of the Species, Me and You Vs. The World, Avenging Angels, Dark Clouds, Begin Again and The Ballad of Tom Jones. Their albums include Spiders, Tin Planet, Suburban Rock and Roll and Attack of the Mutant 50ft Kebab.
Their new single, Dangerous Day, was released in September 2017 and the new studio album, Give Me Your Future, and the new album came out in December. The album was recorded and produced by Grammy and Brit award winning producer Steve Levine who has also worked with The Clash, Culture Cub, The Beach Boys, Deniece Williams and Gary Moore.
A box set comprising four previously released albums, plus the un-released Love you More Than Football, will be released this year.
Special guests at the Halton Stadium gig are Pete Bentham and the Dinner Ladies. Fronted by the Widnes-born singer, Pete, they have released three full length albums, two vinyl EPs on Antipop Records and toured hundreds of gigs and festivals across the UK and Europe. They are at the vanguard of the current UK DIY underground scene.
The concert is an indoor event in the Sports Hall area of the stadium.
