X Factor’s Sam Callahan will play Dandini in Cinderella, our #Brindleypanto.
The multi-talented 27-year-old singer/songwriter from Essex as also an accomplished actor, model and racing driver!
He started performing and writing music back when he was just 13 and trained from a young age at the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School.
At 16, Sam was signed to a teen pop group by ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and pop mogul Simon Fuller. He eventually broke from the band to forge his own solo career.
Sam was a live show finalist on the 10th series of The X Factor where he secured a place in the UK live arena tour.
He has since been writing and performing his own music globally!
His single I Love It When You which reached No.1 on various international dance charts, whilst his other releases such as, Burns Like Fire, Something To Prove, Stitches and Scars and his latest release Demons, all reached the UK Top 100 and some even the Top 40.
In 2017 Sam embarked on a UK theatre tour with X Factor series 6 winner, Joe McElderry and shortly after went on to perform on his own headline UK tour which was a sell-out in six different cities around the UK.
Sam’s most recent release is of his new single, ‘Back to Gold’ which came out this month! (Friday 19 November 2021) Find him on social media or any of the usual music platforms to hear the new single.
Something unrelated to music, that not everyone knows about Sam, is that among his more talked about endeavours in the fitness and music world, Sam is also a racing driver and recently competed in his first PRO race this year in October in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge at ‘Donington Park International’ race circuit.
So after being signed in 2021 to race professionally in 2022 in the Ginetta GT4 Supercup as shown on ITV4, it seems Sam will have a lot to keep him busy in the new year!
Sam says: ‘I can’t wait to play Dandini in Cinderella at Runcorn, I’ve played the part once before and it certainly appeals to my mischievous side as Dandini is a fun part to play!’
Previous pantomime credits include; The Huntsman in Snow White And The Huntsman; Aladdin in Aladdin (Thrice) and Dandini in Cinderella once before.
