Halton Borough Council demonstrates collaborative working as a key component to its successful delivery of Adult Social Care, according to a new report.
The latest Adult Social Care annual report focusses on service delivery achievements over the year, exploring how it the Council works with service users, carers and partner organisations to meet the needs of the community.
The report combines performance data with real-life accounts of service support to look at three areas of interest – the commissioning process for working with partners and providers of care, the Council’s services for adults with physical disabilities and its approach to support of carers.
Halton Borough Council’s Executive Board Member for Social Care, Cllr Tom McInerney, said: “The Council’s Adult Social Care services cover a wide remit of activity and the annual report gives us some insight into elements of that.
“Making information available to the public is part of our statutory duties and the annual report also helps to raise awareness of the range of care provision available to people, should they need to access it.
“More recently adult social care services have had to adapt, and quickly, to respond to the needs of the pandemic.
“Our teams are focussed on the job at hand and the annual report is also a good opportunity for them to reflect on past successes and the positive impact this has had on the lives of our residents.”
