Halton Lodge Primary School held a school celebration for the Platinum Jubilee, which was fit for a queen!
It held a fete where children enjoyed playing summer fete games, dancing, sharing a celebration lunch together and eating ice creams.
The classes had been busy preparing for the event by decorating commemorative T-shirts, making bunting, learning about the Queen and her 70 year reign and learning The National Anthem.
The summer fete culminated with children parading their decorated T-shirts and singing The National Anthem.
Teacher Maxine Burge said: “Everybody got into the spirit of this once in a lifetime occasion.”
Children especially enjoyed throwing sponges at Sports Coach Tom Dyson who spent hours in stocks while children from Reception to Year six soaked him!
