Halton Borough Council is advising customers that due to an upgrade to the Contact Centre system, the Contact Centre will not be able to able to receive incoming calls on Wednesday 15 October.
You can still access council services online at halton.gov.uk or visit one of the Direct Links in Runcorn or Widnes.
The change, to a Teams based system, brings additional functionality starting with call handling and followed in the coming months by webchat and a brand new online customer portal.
Contact Centre Advisors will be issued with new equipment and undertake training to make sure current numbers are moved onto the new system, so all calls will be diverted.
