Thursday 19th and Saturday 21st February mark Halton’s first Music Trains of the year running in partnership with North Cheshire Community Rail Partnership for Culture26 – you definitely don’t want to miss them!

Hop onboard the Northern Rail service for a live acoustic performance from Pete Bentham and the Dinnerladies and The Dock Yard Trio, bringing feel-good music straight to your journey as you travel between Widnes and Liverpool.

Just buy a return train ticket, hop on with our musicians at Widnes Station, travel to Liverpool Lime Street, enjoy a day in the city or take the return journey with them for another round of entertainment.

Pete Bentham & the Dinner Ladies are known for their unique ‘Kitchencore’ sound…witty and poignant songs of Northern, working class life. They have done hundreds of shows and festivals across the UK and Europe and their latest album ‘Art, Religion & Chocolate Biscuits’ was voted among the 2025 Albums of The Year.

Saturday 21st February 2026 The Dock Road Trio

From 50’s swing to contemporary pop and all things in between. Guaranteed to play some of your absolute favourites.

From Liverpool Lime Street Station:  departing 11:56 and 15:56

The Music Train will return to Halton in May half term with two more acts travelling from Runcorn to Chester!
