WELL Runcorn Hub opens to bring joined-up health, wellbeing and learning to the community

Opening Monday 29 June 2026

A new health, wellbeing and education hub, WELL Runcorn Hub, is opening in the heart of Runcorn Old Town, bringing together local partners to deliver joined-up support for residents in one accessible location.

Developed through the Runcorn Towns Fund programme, the hub brings together organisations from the NHS, Halton Borough Council, education providers and the voluntary sector. It has been designed to improve access to services, tackle health inequalities and support wider community wellbeing.

WELL Runcorn Hub offers a welcoming, flexible space where people can drop in for advice, information and support, as well as access a wide range of services. These include mental health support, family and children’s services, health checks, and community-based activities focused on prevention and early help.

Alongside health and care services, the hub also provides opportunities for education, training and skills development. This integrated approach helps connect people to employment, learning and wider community support.

By bringing services together in one place, WELL Runcorn Hub makes it easier for people to get the support they need, when they need it. The model also allows organisations to work more closely together, improving people’s experience and supporting earlier intervention.

Located in the former Runcorn Library on Granville Street, the hub is designed as a community space where people can feel comfortable to visit, connect with others and build confidence in managing their health and wellbeing.

WELL Runcorn Hub opens with a phased programme of services and activity from Monday 29 June, with an official launch planned for early September. Additional services will be introduced over the coming months as the hub continues to grow and develop its offer.
