Do you like David Bowie, road movies and drama? If so we you would be ‘Aladdin Sane’ to miss this show.
Runcorn’s flagship venue presents From Ibiza to the Norfolk Broads, a contemporary theatrical road movie with a host of characters, songs, humour and a brilliant Bowie soundtrack on Thursday 18 January.
Martin lives at home with his mother, his father having departed soon after his birth and never seen again.
He has however inherited his father’s obsession with David Bowie and writes letters to him, living in a world of books, music and fantasy to which he escapes. Martin also rarely eats.
On his 18th birthday his mother gives him an envelope which his father requested she do. Inside Martin discovers a letter Bowie had written to his father, and a map with instructions.
Martin embarks on a journey across London to discover the birthplace, haunts and history of his hero and retrace his father’s footsteps, before making a final, chilling discovery at the bank of the River Thames.
