The annual Hale Carnival, now in its 50th year, takes place on Saturday, June 8, in Hale Park. This year’s theme is The Sea.
Starting at 12 noon, attractions include the crowning of the Rose Queen, pirates fancy dress, school bands and choirs, birds of prey, scarecrow competition, tug o’ war, plus much more. The 5k Seashore Dash takes place earlier in the day at 10.30am from the Childe of Hale statue.
