The Brindley Theatre in Runcorn is looking forward to welcoming you back for a packed programme of events this Autumn and Winter.

The award-winning venue is getting ready for another dazzling season with something for everybody. Highlights include legendary snooker players, a super-cool Eighties singing star, not one, but two classic ballets and the annual festive pantomime.

From the world of music, you can see the former frontman of ABC, Martin Fry in an ‘Audience with’ where he will be in conversation and performing stripped-back versions of ABC’s massive hits such as Poison Arrow, The Look Of Love, All Of My Heart and When Smokey Sings. Classic Liverpool bands The Christians and China Crisis will be appearing as well as local girl made good, singer/songwriter Jenny Colquitt. There will also be a host of great tributes to The Eagles, Kate Bush, David Bowie and many more.

Clinton Baptiste, Britain’s most celebrated clairvoyant medium psychic from Peter Kay’s ‘Phoenix Nights’ returns in October with his hilarious one-man show featuring his trademark audience readings, the story of his meteoric rise and some spooky treats to make your hair stand on end.

There are more laughs when the writer and actress Lynne Fitzgerald presents the latest instalment of the comedy play Desperate Scousewives and the ever-popular Giggle Shack XL event is back in September after previous sell-out shows.

There is a treat for snooker fans in January when greats Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor recreate the 1985 World Championship Final, along with host and referee John Virgo. A record-breaking 18.5m TV viewers stayed up to watch the legendary match and this is your chance to see the rematch with snooker royalty from that special night.

It’s always a special treat when the ballet comes to Halton and there are two opportunities to see this amazing spectacle with Swan Lake on Thursday 3 October and The Nutcracker on Tuesday 19 November, both performed by the renowned companies Crown Ballet and Ballet Theatre UK.

Brindley pantomime favourite Rebecca Lake returns as Yasmin in Aladdin, from 5 December until 5 January where she will be joined by Amanda Lovett from the hit TV show The Traitors as The Empress.

Launching the season will be another brilliant family show Amazing Animals on Sunday 8 September. This is the only show around that you get to see life sized crocodiles, sloths, reindeer, dinosaurs, penguins, orangutans and more, in a heart-warming show for all the family.

This is just a taster of a varied and entertaining programme. You can see details of all events at www.thebrindley.org.uk or by picking up a brochure from the Brindley foyer and many outlets across the borough. Contact the box office on 0151 907 8360 for more information.
