Are you a veteran who lives in Halton, Warrington, St Helens or Knowsley, like Norman in the picture?

Age UK MidMersey would like to recognise veterans living in MidMersey, this month, by providing free ‘Feel Good Think Good’ bags as a way of appreciation.

The bags, containing colouring-in pens, calendar, pillow sprays, diary, crossword puzzle, mindfulness colouring in books, chocolate, scarf, Age UK booklet about winter, gloves, cup and hot chocolate mix, notebook, magazine “Options”playing cards, may be collected from the charity’s offices or delivered if needed.

Halton Veteran Norman Lloyd, who got a bag last week, said: “I was so pleased to receive it. As it is a token to all veterans that we are still remembered. It is a lovely gesture.”

Halton Borough Council’s Executive Board Member for Health and WellBeing, Cllr Marie Wright, said: “I would urge anyone who qualifies to get one.”
