As part of the BBC Civilisations Festival, Halton Libraries are hosting two fascinating talks on the local history and cultural identity of Widnes and Runcorn.

To highlight our local cultural identity, come along to this talk given by the Runcorn & District Historical Society, about Runcorn’s architecture, the varied buildings/bridges we have in Runcorn and how they have contributed to the cultural identity of Runcorn.

Celebrate the BBC Civilisations Festival with Halton Libraries. Catalyst Museum will be hosting a lecture on Halton’s industrial heritage, using material from their extensive archives. Industry is an important component of Halton’s modern-day identity and this talk promises to be a must for all local history enthusiasts.
