As part of a Liverpool City Region-wide tribute, we will be lighting the Mersey Gateway and Silver Jubilee Bridges in pink from Friday 2 August-Sunday 4 August as a mark of respect and solidarity with those affected by the tragic incidents in Southport.

St George’s Hall, Liverpool Town Hall and Cunard Building will all be bathed in pink, along with other landmarks including The Atkinson building in Southport, Chester Town Hall and hospitals.

Sefton Council has issued an open invite to other public and privately owned buildings across the North West to also illuminate if they can do so to show their support and join in a united display of peace, solidarity and remembrance.

Also, the flags at our main council buildings, Municipal Building and Runcorn Town Hall, are flying at half-mast.
