A new project bringing some colourful murals to some Halton buildings as part of #CelebrateHalton, it is hoped will bring joy and hope to the areas.
Murals by artist Calum Medforth at Ditton and Runcorn Libraries are part of the ‘Celebrate Halton’ Borough of Culture 2021 celebrations.
Why not take a selfie by one of the murals and share?
Calum Medforth, aged 27, from Formby, was approached by Halton Libraries, with a brief called ‘the joy project’.
The main aim of the pieces was to ”re-inspire the community after covid and hopefully bring some unity, hope, joy to the community during these difficult times’.
This was hopefully achieved through bold colours and the use of positive, natural and local imagery.
Halton Borough Council spokesperson, Julie Griffiths, said: “There was also the hope that these pieces would spark some creativity and inspire more individuals to embark on their own creative projects.”
