Cannon and Ball are bringing their own magical and unique brand of humour to the Brindley Theatre, Runcorn on Wednesday 1 May.

The Cannon and Ball Show, lasted for nine years on ITV. The duo met in the early 1960s while working as welders in Oldham, Lancashire.

They started out as singers working the pubs and clubs of Greater Manchester and switched to comedy after being told comics earned an extra £3 a night.

They have continued to work as a comic duo on television and in theatre and pantomime.

Opening the show with 45 minutes of unforgettable Cannon & Ball, they will perform some of their legendary sketches and routines before the interval.

Tommy and Bobby open Act Two with a song and then into storytelling of their career after which they will open the mic to the audience for Q & A’s.

This magical and intimate “Close and Upfront!” evening is a treat for all comedy fans of all ages!

The pair are devout Christians and published a book called Christianity for Beginners.

Ball became a born-again Christian in 1986 and Cannon in 1992, their conversion having a lot to do with the re-kindling of their broken friendship.

They now regularly feature in their own gospel and “an audience with…” show in churches around the country.
