Halton Borough Council held a Youth Training and Employment Open Day on 28th January. The aim of the event was for Halton People Into Jobs and the Halton Adult Learning teams to engage with young people aged 18-24 from the borough and offer advice and support through a range of programmes available.
Programmes such as Youth Guarantee Trailblazer, Youth Hubs, Ways to Work, Supported Internships and Halton Adult Learning provision offer young people training, support and employment opportunities.
Held at Halton Leisure Centre, 22 partners held stands displaying information from voluntary, community, private sector and public sector, and giving attendees a flavour of what is on offer for young people in Halton.
The day was a great success with some excellent feedback from the young attendees. 89 young people were engaged at the event, alongside parents, guardians and carers.
