‘Interval’ an exhibition by artists group Markmakers, Halton’s contemporary arts collective, is coming to Halton Borough Council’s Brindley Theatre, Runcorn, from Monday (2 October)

Members of the group have exhibited regionally, nationally and internationally with artists involved in national touring exhibitions and international residencies.

Collectively the group has built a name for interesting and thoughtful exhibitions and supported by curators from across the country.

Now the group has returned to home turf to present their work to local visitors and guests from beyond Halton in their new exhibition titled ‘Interval’.

The theme took the artists on a journey through questions like; What is an interval and does anything of interest happen there? What are the intervals in my life and what happens in wider world when an interval occurs?

The answers to these questions and more can be seen within the work.

Markmakers Artist Jane Copeman, said: “Taking a word as a brief was a challenge at first. But as we started to do our own research, hear others thoughts and see others work evolving the idea of an interval became more and more inspiring and intriguing.”

The exhibition runs until Friday 24 November. All exhibitions in the Brindley Gallery are free. The gallery is open 10am – 5pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 2pm Saturdays. Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays.
