Halton Trading Standards is issuing a warning about scam Facebook login alerts.
People have been receiving messages stating that Facebook has prevented an unauthorised login to their Facebook account.
This is a scam which is designed to alarm the recipient into changing their password using the links in the message.
If you have any concerns about the security of your Facebook account, then do not log in through the any alert or notification you have received. Instead, login by searching Facebook through a search engine (such as Google etc) so you know you have accessed the genuine Facebook site.
