Together Angela and Sharon have 35 years of experience in fostering with Halton Borough Council, in that time they have fostered over 40 babies, children and teenagers.
This year Angela and Sharon (alongside their roles as foster carers) have ran a series of events to recruit new foster carers in the area, and more recently been involved nationwide discussions around policy and fostering at a focus group in London yesterday (1 July).
Sharon, foster carer from Runcorn daid “I’m thrilled we were able to take part in this study, to have my views heard and considered by people who can influence real change is just wonderful“.
The focus group held at The Fostering Newtwork and in partnership with Social Market Foundation is for a study around future policy and all aspects of fostering.
