Halton Borough Council has launched a FREE Pilates course, which runs weekly fromWednesday July 11 to August 29. It takes place at 9.30am at the Frank Myler Pavilion.
The exercises are slow and controlled (no sweating!) with work to strengthen the core, creating a sense of wellbeing.
You do not have to come to every session and exercise is at the students’ own pace.

* The Pilates Method of exercise has its origins in the work of the late Joseph Pilates, who was born in 1880 near Düsseldorf, Germany.
He was a frail child and turned to physical fitness programmes to improve his body image, becoming a keen sportsman, developing talents in sports as varied as diving, gymnastics and boxing.
