A Council Spokesperson said:
“Halton Borough Council, together with St Helens Borough Council and the Youth Engagement Schools Trust would like to confirm that they continue to work collaboratively with the Department for Education on the establishment of a “Free School” – The Raise Academy, for secondary aged pupils, to support those children with social, emotional and mental health needs.
The School, proposed to be sited on Naylor Road in Widnes, is intended to provide up to 64 secondary school places for pupils from St Helens and Halton”.
