Halton Borough Council is advising that current Garden Waste Service subscriptions will expire on 31st May 2025 and a new subscription payment will need to be made if customers wish to receive collections beyond this date.
Payment for new subscriptions is NOT automatically taken by the Council and you will need to re-subscribe before 1st June in order for collections to continue.
Subscriptions can still be paid for after that date, but any green bins presented for collection after this date without displaying a valid licence will not be emptied.
The charge for collections is £50 per bin.
Payments can currently be made on-line at Waste Collection Service Search & Garden Waste Subscriptions or by calling 0303 333 4300. If paying over the telephone the advisor will offer you the option to either pay by a link which will be emailed or text to your mobile phone or you can be transferred to a telephone service so that you can enter the payment card details using your telephone keypad. You can also pay at one of the Council’s one-stop shops using a debit or credit card but please check opening hours before your visit.
After 31st May 2025 we will only collect bins displaying a valid 2025/26 licence and as it can take up to 14 days for your licence sticker to arrive, please subscribe in plenty of time to ensure that you don’t miss any collections.
