Halton Borough Council’s Registration Service is a finalist in the Best Ceremony Provider category at the 2021 North West Wedding Awards.
The competition is organised by the County Brides Magazine and the winner will be announced on Thursday 21 October.
Despite the pandemic, Halton Registrars have performed nearly 400 Wedding and Civil Partnership ceremonies. The ceremonies have taken place in the five fabulous wedding suites at Runcorn Town Hall and also at approved premises in the borough, such as local hotels and other venues including the DCBL Stadium and Norton Priory Museum and Gardens.
Andrew Lucas, Superintendent Registrar, says: “We would like to thank everyone who voted for us during the nomination period. This is a great boost for our dedicated team who have performed with such enthusiasm during very difficult circumstances.”
Cllr Mark Dennett, Executive Board Member for Corporate Services, said: “The nomination of Halton Borough Council’s Registration Service as a finalist shows that we are amongst the best in the region. As a Council we are very proud of our Registrars and the great service they provide.”
