Halton Table Tennis Centre is celebrating being based at Halton Stadium for 20 years.

Tess Sanderson opened the facility with Matthew Syed giving table tennis demonstrations.

Hundreds of people of all ages have used the table tennis facilities over the years with current membership at over 700 aged six to over 90 years old.

Club Chairman Karen Tonge MBE, said: “We are so grateful to the National Lottery (celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year; Table Tennis England and Halton Borough Council for enabling us to have this magnificent facility.

“The numbers who have enjoyed this sport here are staggering.”

Members have included Paralympian Jack Hunter Spivey. He is world no7 in his class and 10x British champ, as well as being a motivational speaker.
