Would you like to offer some of your free time or know someone who might? Halton Borough Council needs you! And it could lead to a full time paid role.
Sure Start to Later Life is currently looking for new volunteers to support older vulnerable people by befriending, chatting, supporting them to go out, or IT support.
All training is provided by Halton Borough Council and a full induction programme takes place.
Spaces are available as some volunteers moved on into employment, both within the Council and externally, others can only volunteer at certain times because of study, work or health issues.
Halton Borough Council’s Executive Board Member for Health and Wellbeing, Cllr Marie Wright, said: “No matter how little time you have there is always someone who would benefit from a chat over a cuppa.”
