Halton Borough Council has contracted PayPoint as a collection partner for Council tax bills, invoices and payments.

This means residents can now pay their Council Tax, Business Rates and Council invoices in cash at more than 50 local stores and outlets in the borough that have a PayPoint terminal.

You can find your nearest PayPoint location at https://consumer.paypoint.com

Paying by PayPoint is easy, all you need is your barcoded bill.  You will also need to pay at least three days before the payment is due.

The Council also offers a range of other options for residents to make payments:
• By Direct Debit (which most customers find to be the most convenient method)
• Online at www.halton.gov.uk
• By telephone – 0303 333 4300
• By card or cash at the Halton Direct Link Offices

Halton Borough Council’s Ed Dawson, said: “By partering with PayPoint we are providing a local payment option for those customers who choose to make cash payments to the Council.

“For those customers who would rather not leave their homes to make payments, the Council offers a range of other convenient options.  Payments can be made online, by telephone or, easiest of all, by direct debit”.
