Runcorn Town Hall Open Day raised £1,065 for the Mayor’s Charities when the historic building was open to the public on Saturday 3 December.
Members of the Mayor’s Fund Raising Team arranged various stalls while Father Christmas was in his grotto to give presents to visiting children and listening to what they wanted on December 25.
Children from Astmoor Primary; The Grange Primary; St Edwards Catholic Primary; Moore Primary and St Martin’s Primary.sang Christmas Carols in the historic Council Chamber.
Halton Borough Council Councillor Ged Philbin and Mayoress Rosalin Wong want to thank everyone who helped organise the occasion and came along to support it.
The Open Day was supported by Unison (Halton) and Cheshire Fire & Rescue. Both donated £200 each to support the event
The event will benefit the Mayor’s chosen charities – Child Bereavement UK and The Lets Go Stroke Club.
