This year’s Halton Borough Council Libraries’ ‘out of this world’ Summer Reading Challenge 2019 theme is Space Chase.

It is described as an ‘out-of-this-world adventure inspired by the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing’.

Children taking part in the challenge will join its super space family, The Rockets, for a thrilling mission to track down books nabbed by mischievous aliens!

Halton Borough Council’s Executive Board Member for Libraries, Cllr Phil Harris, said: “It’s easy to take part! Simply sign up to the Space Chase from the Monday 22 July and then read six books over the summer.

“They can be story books, information books, talking books, ebooks or eaudio books! Log them in your Space Chase reading log and collect stickers and prizes along the way from the library. “

If you complete the challenge you will receive a special Space Chase medal and certificate.
