Halton students are learning how a construction project works from the experts during visits to the leisure centre site.
Groups of Riverside College students on construction, engineering and business courses have been invited, along with their tutors, to visit the site by contractor Wates.
They are given a presentation about the project, ask questions, then tour the site to see work in progress.
Following a recent visit by students on the entry level construction course, Max Pye, Additional Learning Support Worker at Riverside College, said: “The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Some were apprehensive about attending but all took something away from the visit. They are looking forward to hopefully going back in September.
“Visits like this are important for our students to see the running of a construction site from ground level right the way up.”
