Our ‘Dame’ for a laugh this year has been revealed as a versatile actor, manager and graphic designer, a veteran of countless pantos, productions and costume changes (oh yes he is!)

Robert Square, who will don the wigs as Nanny Nora Knickerdrawer has worked with various companies over the years either as a member of the cast or as their technician.

Robert is looking forward to working with all the team at Polka Dot Pantomimes and Halton Borough Council.

He said: “I can’t wait to start rehearsals. I have heard great things about The Brindley.”

“I would like to thank my partner for putting up with the endless costume fittings, deliveries of makeup, shoes, jewellery, wigs and having the dresses hanging up around the house, especially after the run when the front room looks like Twankey’s Laundry!”

Christopher Pym will return to The Brindley as Prince Harry in our #BrindleyPanto, Sleeping Beauty. He will play alongside Rebecca Lake, Princess Aurora. The two paired up last year in Cinderella at the multi-award winning Halton Borough Council theatre.

Crissy Rock was announced last week as Fairy Nuff. And popular local actor Andrew Curphey will play Chester the Jester,
