The life and music of music legend Matt Monro is to be celebrated at the Brindley Theatre, Runcorn, by his son.
The Matt Monro Story, starring Matt Monro Jnr, comes to the multi-award winning Halton Borough Council venue on Wednesday 12 April.
It is a described as an unique evening of music, warmth and love, keeping the memory of Monro’s music alive. And who better than Matt Monro Jnr. to sing the songs and tell the stories, to keep the name up there in lights, where it belongs.
From Born Free to Portrait of My Love, be prepared to be transported in time by this tribute to one of Britain’s most popular and endearing singer, named ‘the singer’s singer’ by his peers and of whom Frank Sinatra said “Matt Monro is one of the finest male vocalists in the business”.
