St. Bede’s Catholic Infant School in Widnes was once again graded Outstanding across all areas in its most recent Ofsted Inspection in October.
The inspection report states that pupils achieve exceptionally well and fully live out the school’s motto of ‘Learn to love; love to learn’.
Headteacher Miss Jackie Coughlan said: “I am so proud of our St. Bede’s family, our children, staff, parents and governors who without exception always do their very best for each other, determined in our Mission to ensure that each and every child fulfils their own unique potential.”
The inspection report details the many exceptional things about the school. It states that Governors and leaders at the school are inspirational, committed to developing pupils into responsible citizens.
They are passionate and dedicated to the children, pupils and families in the community.
It states: “Pupils, including pupils with special education needs and/or disabilities (SEND), flourish at St. Bede’s Catholic Infant School. They more than rise to meet the school’s high expectations for their academic and personal development.”
The inspectors found that pupils behave impeccably in lessons and on the playground. They enjoy spending time with their friends, they care deeply for one another and for the wider world, and are highly respectful of adults.
“Pupils are happy and they thoroughly enjoy coming to school.”
The report concludes that pupils, and their parents and carers, would unreservedly recommend this school to others. Pupils feel fortunate and blessed to be served by this exceptional school.
