Pure Insights supports young people in Halton who are leaving children’s homes and foster care as they start adult life. Many live alone at a young age and need a helping hand along the way.

The service provides opportunities for the young people to get involved in influencing and shaping provision for care leavers.

They are recruiting caring and steady people to do something very special — could you volunteer to be a consistent, trusted adult in a young adult’s life?

Mentors are exceptional people who spend 2–3 hours a week with their mentee, providing practical and emotional support (and having fun).

There’s a bit of tackling life’s challenges, a bit of celebrating wins and sometimes an arm round the shoulder when it doesn’t go so well.

The young people are individuals, and they need lots of individuals of all ages and backgrounds, to create meaningful connections with people who care enough to stick around for a couple of years to foster real change.

Join the 8-week September volunteer training cohort to learn more about how you can be the difference to a young person starting out in life after leaving foster care and children’s homes.
