Our Halton Borough Council care homes proudly celebrated International Nurses Day 2026 this May, recognising the dedication, compassion, and skill of our incredible nursing team.
Both St Luke’s Care Home and Millbrow Care Home made a special effort to make our Nurse colleagues feel celebrated on this day. Our Care Home colleagues recognise that Nurses make a difference every single day through their commitment to providing safe, dignified, and person-centred care to our residents. As a small token of appreciation, colleagues presented gifts of thanks and made delicious homemade cakes.
St Luke’s colleagues shared a special message: “We are especially proud of the diversity, kindness, and professionalism within our nursing team and would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our international nurses, whose knowledge, resilience, and compassion enrich life at St Luke’s every day.”
