Halton Borough Council is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Fortuna Female Society – Queens of Halton Awards 2026, celebrating the remarkable achievements and contributions of women across the borough.

The Fortuna Female Society works to combat social isolation by delivering free and affordable events that inspire, empower and champion women. Through partnerships with local community groups in Widnes and Runcorn, the organisation has created a supportive network that helps women across Halton connect, thrive and reach their full potential.

The Queens of Halton Awards recognise women who go above and beyond in supporting their communities. The awards celebrate those who inspire, encourage and champion others, shining a spotlight on the invaluable contributions women make across Halton.

Each year, members of the public are invited to nominate women they admire and whose efforts deserve recognition. Nominees and those who nominated them will be invited to a celebration evening on Friday 19 June 2026 at the DCBL Stadium, Lowerhouse Lane, Widnes, WA8 7DZ, where finalists in each category will be announced. The event promises to be an uplifting evening filled with pride, celebration and community spirit.
