This year’s Vintage Rally in Victoria Park, Widnes, will have its very own Norman Invasion as well as a host of glittering panto stars from Beauty and The Beast (oh yes it will!)

All the fun takes place this weekend 29/30 September.

Appearing for the first time our friends at Historia Normannis will be creating a full scale Norman encampment to allow our visitors to experience what life was like back in the twelfth century.

They will also be putting on a number of military battle and fashion shows over the weekend in the main arena.

Grab a deck chair and listen to traditional performances from St Helens and Merseyside Brass at 1pm on both days!

Fancy a pint?! You’ll be able to get one from our especially themed vintage bar bus serving the event for the very first time. I’m sure you’ll agree the vehicle is an attraction in itself!

Around the park you will find a number of vintage vehicles serving a delicious range or food and drink as even the catering joins in the theme.

You’ll be amazed at the range of lovingly restored and maintained vehicles at the Rally. Take a good look around and see how many cars and bikes you recognise.

Our friends at Halton Community Radio will host activities from 10am right through to close at 5pm on both days.

Joining us this year we have Vale Royal Falconry, H&M Dog Display Team and Historia Normannis.

Fancy some Vintage themed entertainment? Pauline Reader’s traditional dancers will be performing on our organ stage throughout the weekend

A scattering of stats will be mingling over the weekend including  Fairy Sugababe, singer Amelle Berrabah, Belle – Rebecca Lake, French Franc – Andrew Curphey, Grimalkin – Charlie Griffiths and Dame Dolly Doughnut – Robert Squire

Halton Borough Council’s Executive Board Member for Events, Cllr Eddie Jones, said: “The rally continues to be an event that the Borough can be proud of, it is unique across the entire country.”

This weekend is the last chance to vote for your favourite Halton park https://hbcnewsroom.co.uk/go-online-and-vote-for-your-favourite-park/
