There’s something for everyone at Halton Borough Council’s Brindley Theatre, Runcorn, this Christmas.

The annual magical family pantomime Beauty & the Beast starring Sugababe Amelle Berrabah as Fairy Sugababe runs from Monday 10 December until Sunday 13 January.

There will be spectacular scenery, dazzling costumes, hilarious jokes, singalong songs and fun for all the family. Book now for the best available seats.

There is a dark celebration of Christmas with Christmas Gothic on Tuesday 11 & Wednesday 12 December. It is a chance to come in from the cold and enter into the Christmas spirit as a dark and spectral woman tells haunting tales of the festive season, performed by Rebecca Vaughan.

On Thursday 13 December there is a hilarious, amazing star studded festive comedy night presented by Our Rita’s Christmas Comedy Gala featuring Comedy Central star Steve Bugeja, Live at Hot Water regular Eddie Fortune, Liverpool Comedian of the Year Nina Gilligan and many more.

For the little ones, there are two lovely shows with Santa’s Christmas Party from Friday 14 December until Monday 17 December with a chance to meet Santa at his home in the North Pole, where every child will receive a special present .

This is described as most Christmassy Christmas show ever. Suitable for two to seven-year -olds.

Father Christmas is back with Father Christmas Comes Up Trumps on Friday 21 until Sunday 23 December.

This time he’s had three helpings of sprouts! As he tries to deliver the presents, his tummy rumbles, gurgles and groans, but Father Christmas knows he must keep it in! There’s witty humour and fantastic music in this brilliantly bouncy musical adaptation.

There is the perfect office party night out on Sunday 16 December when the Brindley presents the amazing Motown show Get Ready. This is a chance to take a trip back to 1960s Detroit with the brand-new, celebrated stage show featuring the music of the Temptations, Four Tops, Supremes, Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye. Featuring Velvet vocals, Immaculate costumes and astounding dance moves.

If you would like to swing ‘n’ sing-along into Christmas, then you can and enjoy all your favourite Christmas songs with the dynamic Big Band from the Five Star Swing Big Band on Monday 17 December.

The songs will be given the swing treatment from Glenn Miller, Sinatra, Basie, Nat King Cole – jazzing up those Jingle Bells!

On Christmas Eve at 1pm there is a screening of the classic Christmas film It’s a Wonderful Life in the festively decorated Studio, which includes seasonal refreshments.

If you want to prolong your festive season into January, then you can catch the adult panto Hansel & Gretel Go Down in the Woods on Sunday 20 January.

A fearlesss company of three actors will take on the traditional and the not so traditional pantomime characters in an evening of slick, fast-moving, farcical fun and bawdy sexual innuendo for adults. Please note this is not suitable for under 16’s.

Enjoy Christmas on the Big Screen when the Brindley screen the classic Christmas films ELF on Monday 17 December at 6.15pm and THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL on Thursday 20 December at 6.15pm.
