Annual “Crucial Crew” event captivates year 5 pupils

Halton Borough Council are pleased to announce that Crucial Crew is taking place this year at Select Security Stadium.

This annual event brings together key partners and local organisations to deliver vital safetey advice to young people. Sessions are delivered in a fun and interactve way involving all the children taking part. Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, Cheshire Police, Road Safety, SP Energy Networks, Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust, Travel Training and Health Improvement Team Pupils will provide vital safety messages to pupils- such as recovery position, internet safety, fire safety and more.

All 49 Primary Schools in the Borough have signed up to take part, 1645 Year 5 Halton children in attendance overall.

Halton Borough Council’s Executive Board Member for Transportation, Cllr Stan Hill said: “This is a really important event, the information provided will help to keep our young people safe and could even save lives. We are delighted that we are able to hold the event again this year and to be able to reach so many Halton children”
