Do you know someone with Down’s Syndrome? Halton Borough Council is hosting a drop-in workshop organised by an inspirational lady with the condition.

Celebrate Me, a drop in workshop celebrating the lives of people with Down Syndrome is coming to The Brindley on Saturday 18 March between 10.30am to 1.30pm.

As we approach World Down Syndrome Awareness Day on the Tuesday 21 March, Positive You’s Leah Jones will be leading a drop in workshop where you are invited to create your own celebratory bunting as part of a unique arts display.

Leah Jones, aged, 34, from Runcorn, is a self advocate for people who have a learning disability in Halton.

She works as an administer for the Ella Performance Group, a group of performers with and without disabilities with a wide range of ages who have been in different productions as a way to educate people and their mindsets about what people with disabilities can achieve.

Positive You is creative training which aims to transform attitudes and promote positivity about learning disability.

The workshop is free to attend and suitable for all ages and abilities.
