An arts and crafts workshop for the over-50s is looking forward to celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2018 and is appealing for more members.
The group is active in Widnes and Runcorn and you can pop along to Ditton Community Centre, Dundalk Road, Widnes on Wednesday from 10am to 12.30pm or Grangeway Community Centre, Runcorn on Thursdays 10am to 12.30pm.
The friendly sessions are £4 each with a professional tutor and materials provided. There will also be a £4 per term admin charge and each term lasts for 10 weeks. The first session is completely free for you to try the session.
The aims of the group is to provide opportunities for this age group in Halton to take part in a range of arts activities, improving individuals quality of life, enhancing their skills and limiting social isolation.
The group are in need of new members and if anybody is interested in joining they should go along to a session at Ditton or Grangeway Community Centres. First session is free and each of them are tutored by a professional artist.
The sessions are very welcoming and all levels of ability are welcome. .
