Itโ€™s a welcome return to the Brindley Theatre, Runcorn for Michael Starke who features in this yearโ€™s fantastic festive pantomime Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs at the award-winning Halton venue from 11 December to 12 January.
Mums, dads and grandmas and grandads will remember Michael from his days as Sinbad in the Liverpool based soap opera Brookside.

This was a role he played for almost 16 years, before going on to roles in The Royal as Ken Hopkirk and Coronation Street as kebab shop owner Jerry Morton.

In between, Michael has enjoyed many various theatre roles including Edna Turnblad in the number one tour of Hairspray, Moonface Martin in Anything Goes and Monsignor OHara in Sister Act.

There have also been roles in Casualty, Holby City, The Four Oโ€™Clock Club and Michael was most recently seen as the Jobsworth Sam in Shane Meadows film The Virtues, which achieved global critical acclaim. Other films include No Surrender, Distant Voices Still Lives, Long Tails, The 51st State and Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit, directed by Ken Branagh.

Michael has just finished a โ€˜nice little cameoโ€™ in Netflix production Tin Star which will be out next year.

Show White also stars Michaelโ€™s wife and actress Lynn Francis as the Wicked queen plus Brindley panto favourites Rebecca Lake as Snow White, Andrew Curphey as Muddles, Charlie Griffiths as Fairy and Chris Pym as the Prince.

“I can’t wait to return to The Brindley,” he said. “It will be great to appear in panto so close to home and seeing so many of you at the show, as well as out and about in the area.”

“It’s sure to have the usual spectacular scenery, dazzling costumes, hilarious jokes, singalong songs and fun for all the family. So don’t delay, book today!”
