The City Nature Challenge is back, and everyone across the Liverpool City Region is invited to take part in this exciting global event that helps put local wildlife on the map.

From Friday 24 April, grab your phone, head outside, and start spotting nature around you. Whether it’s plants, insects, birds, fungi or animals, every observation you record helps scientists better understand and protect local wildlife.

Using the free iNaturalist app, participants are encouraged to explore parks, gardens, streets, or even their own backyards and photograph as many different species as possible within a set time. Your sightings contribute to real conservation data while helping to build a bigger picture of biodiversity in our region.

📍Join us at:
Butterfly House, Victoria Park, Widnes, WA8 7SU
Friday 24 April | 10am–2pm

It’s free, family-friendly, and a great way to reconnect with nature while protecting it.
