Have you got the creative writing bug and a growing passion for nature?
As part of its Halton Nature Watch and Tree Wardens projects, Halton Borough Council is calling out to local residents, whether you’re a budding author or potential poet, to create a piece of writing, either a short story or poem, based on one of the following themes:
- Invertebrates: This includes creatures such as moths, butterflies, centipedes, woodlice, beetles, dragonflies, ants, grasshoppers, crickets, spiders, bees, wasps, snails and slugs.
- Trees: This could be the tree in your garden, or a favourite parkland, or a woodland.
You can e-mail your finished piece to: Park.Rangers@halton.gov.uk or bring it to the Council stand at Haltonfest, June 6 and 7, Runcorn Hill Park.
So, if you have an interest in nature or enjoy spreading creativity, we’d love to hear from you.
