Voting for the election of the first Mayor for the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority took place on 4 May 2017.

The Liverpool City Region Mayor will have the responsibility (decision making and funding control) for a number of priority areas across the Liverpool City Region including transport, employment and skills, business support and other areas.

The Mayor will also chair the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, which takes control of the £900m of funding over the next 30 years.

  • Roger Bannister – Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition  (503 votes)
  • Paul Breen – Get The Coppers Off The Jury  (64 votes)
  • Tony Caldeira – The Conservative Party   (3,928 votes)
  • Carl Cashman – Liberal Democrats   (943 votes)
  • Tom Crone – Green Party  (677 votes)
  • Tabitha Morton – Women’s Equality Party  (245 votes)
  • Steve Rotheram – Labour Party   (11,636 votes)
  • Paula Walters – UK Independence Party   (1,191 votes)
