Congratulations to Halton students on achieving success with their GCSE results.

Across Halton there has been an increase in the percentage of students achieving the benchmark of grade 4 and above in a range of subjects and also an increase in higher pass grades of 9-5 in both English and Maths GCSE.

Halton Borough Council’s Strategic Director for People, Mil Vasic, said: “The results this year are a credit to the hard work the students have put in to what is an exceptionally demanding part of their education.  On behalf of Halton Council I would also like to thank all the staff involved in teaching and supporting the young people, and a well done to an extremely proud set of parents and carers.   I congratulate everyone for what they have achieved and wish them the very best for the future.”

Cllr Tom McInerney, portfolio holder for Children, Education and Social Care, added his congratulations: “Well done to all the students, families and staff for an excellent set of GCSE results which are very well deserved and provide an excellent foundation for the future of the young people, whether that be in education, training or employment.”
